Douglas County PUD – Wells Dam GSU Transformer Replacement

At Wells Dam in Douglas County, Washington, Olsson Industrial Electric manufactured, installed, tested, and commissioned five new generator step-up transformers as part of a major replacement project. The work also included removal and disposal of the existing GSU transformers, new transformer oil supply with lab analysis, and proper disposal of multiple batches of existing transformer oil.

USACE – Foster Dam Electrical Reliability Upgrade

For the Foster Dam Electrical Reliability Upgrade in Sweet Home, Oregon, Olsson Industrial Electric helped modernize the existing power system through demolition, replacement, and integration of critical equipment. Work included new 4160V switchgear, transformers, motor control centers, panelboards, SCADA PLC and ER cabinets, a diesel generator system, ventilation upgrades, and in-house controls integration for complex switchgear systems.

USACE – Chief Joseph Dam Spillway Sump Pump and Controls Upgrade

At Chief Joseph Dam in Douglas County, Washington, Olsson Industrial Electric removed and replaced conduit, wiring, and PLC controls supporting vertical line shaft motors and submersible pumps. The project also integrated new 5kV switchgear into the PLC control system, included breaker troubleshooting for NEC compliance, installed wiring for a new trolley system, and provided engineering support throughout construction.

USACE – Little Goose Dam Drainage and Underwater Pumps and Oil Water Separator Upgrades

As a subcontractor to Northbank Civil and Marine, Olsson Industrial Electric completed key electrical upgrades at Little Goose Dam in Dayton, Washington. Scope included supplying and installing a new medium-voltage MCC lineup, replacing drainage and unwatering pumps, completing cybersecurity work, and upgrading oil-water separator electrical and controls, with substantial engineering and design support from OS Engineering.
