USACE – Lower Granite Dam Spillway Pit Tag Monitoring System
SCOPE OF WORK
Olsson was responsible for the design, manufacturing, and installation of a double-decker structure that would house the Government’s Instrumentation Transceiver Rooms.
Structure was fabricated at Olsson’s shop in Springfield, OR and then shipped and installed at Lower Granite Lock and Dam.
Installed (2) independent 480V 400A feeds to each Transceiver Room.
Conduit runs was over (900’) long and Olsson had to maintain a 2% voltage drop throughout.
Installed conduit and controls to (12) pit tag antennas located on the Dam’s ogee spillway
Engineering support throughout project.
