We support programs that change that equation, pairing quality facilities and mentoring with nutrition and hands-on learning, so that every student can see a future for themselves and feel supported getting there.
Olsson Industrial Electric proudly supports Huddle Up, a nonprofit making youth athletics accessible, especially at Title I public schools. Working directly with school districts, Huddle Up builds regulation-size, community-serving athletic facilities and programming that get kids moving and connected. Its inaugural project, the Richard “Rich” Schwab Memorial Field at Maple Elementary, set the standard with a modern synthetic-turf field donated to Springfield Public Schools.
A broad coalition of community supporters and corporate partners helps fund these facilities and keep programming accessible, with visible champions inspiring kids and families.
School-based gardens and local partnerships harvest thousands of pounds of produce for families, supporting dignity at home and focus at school. Much of this food is distributed through Food for Lane County’s county-wide network. These programs also teach vocational and life skills, from planning and teamwork to basic culinary techniques.
We fund and sponsor facilities and programs that remove pay-to-play barriers; our people volunteer and mentor; and we build coalitions with districts, nonprofits, businesses, and civic leaders to deliver complex projects.
