Bonneville Lock and Dam Digital Governor Installation

Overview

Olsson Industrial Electric completed a project to replace several existing Woodward governors at the Bonneville Lock and Dam, Powerhouse II. Olsson removed the existing mechanical governors and associated controls. New conduit and cabling was installed to support the replacement digital governors in main units 11-18 and fish units F1 and F2. In addition, Olsson repaired and refurbished several distributing valves, designed and fabricated transducer mounting brackets and performed asbestos abatement.

Scope

Removed existing Woodward governors and controls (Units 11-18, F1 and F2)
Installed new conduit and cabling to support digital governors and controls
Installed new Government furnished governor controls
Disassembled and refurbished or repaired distributing valves
Designed and fabricated transducer mounting brackets
Designed and installed supporting bracket assemblies for Government furnished equipment
Performed asbestos abatement
